Proud members of the Local 103, the Companies employ a diverse crew of electricians to meet every project's needs. Each of our electricians has received intense training through the Local 103 IBEW Union apprenticeship program in order to build the strong skillset necessary to be successful in the industry. O’Mahony & Sons Electrical, Inc. and O’Mahony Electrical Services, Inc. has been serving customers throughout the greater Boston area for more than 20 years. We are proud members of the Local 103, IBEW. Our team has a wide variety of experience in the commercial, institutional, financial, life-sciences, hospitality, and retail markets. Each of our tradesmen is a skilled electrician who offers customers the highest level of service and craftsmanship in the industry. Our History:

O’Mahony & Sons Electrical, Inc. was founded in January 2001 by Stephanie O’Mahony. The company was founded as a small, family-owned electrical shop with Stephanie as the President and CEO and John O’Mahony, Stephanie’s husband, as General Foreman. Since 2001, the company has grown extensively. To help meet our customers’ growing needs for ongoing electrical service, repair, maintenance and emergency work, we founded O’Mahony Electrical Services, Inc. in 2009.

Family is at the core of the O’Mahony brand, as can be seen in the way that the Company continues to be managed and operated. Stephanie and John are a part of the Company’s daily operations. Stephanie continues to run the office and oversee all operations, while John continues to be the General Foreman, overseeing the field.

Over the years, Stephanie and John’s children have become increasingly involved in the company's operations. Stephanie and John’s son, Christopher, has taken on a key role in the field, servicing customers in both O’Mahony & Sons Electrical, Inc., as well as O’Mahony Electrical Services, Inc. Geena, Stephanie and John’s daughter, has taken on a key role in the company’s management and operations, working side by side with Stephanie learning the ins and outs of the company’s daily operations and management. Stephanie and John’s youngest son, Thomas, continues to focus on his academic studies. Upon graduating, he plans to begin working within the company and the trade.

Our Team:

Stephanie O’Mahony - Stephanie O’Mahony founded O’Mahony & Sons Electrical, Inc. in January 2001, and O’Mahony Electrical Services, Inc. in 2009. She is responsible for overseeing and managing the company's day-to-day operations and is actively involved in all decision making. Stephanie handles the company’s financials and continues to focus on building strong relationships with customers, vendors, employees, and other individuals while maintaining the family atmosphere that the company has been built upon. Stephanie is focused on growing the company’s by constantly working to improve operations while expanding the teams capabilities and outreach.

John O’Mahony - John O’Mahony has served as the General Foreman for both O’Mahony & Sons Electrical, Inc. and O’Mahony Electrical Services, Inc. since the companies were founded. John has been an electrician for more than 30 years and continues to be involved in ongoing projects. He is never afraid to get his hands dirty and is always there to help. John is focused on educating and teaching the next generation of electricians and believes that hands on learning is the best way for individuals to learn. John’s unique problem-solving skills have played a key role in the successful completion of many complicated projects and he continues to serve as a resource for many electricians.

Core Team of Electricians – O'Mahony has a core team of electricians, many of whom have been with the company since beginning their careers with the Local 103 IBEW. The majority of electricians who were assigned to O’Mahony as first year apprentices have remained with the Company ever since. O’Mahony strongly believes in and encourages individual growth and success. Stephanie and John always want to see individuals succeed and fulfill their goals in their careers, as well as in their personal lives.

Safety:

O’Mahony & Sons Electrical, Inc. and O’Mahony Electrical Services, Inc. are committed to safety. The O’Mahony team has detailed safety procedures and practices in place that are to be followed by all individuals. The policies and procedures are in accordance with all local and national codes and are continuously maintained and updated to improve the safety of all personnel. Safety is of the Company’s highest priority for all individuals.

All field employees have received extensive safety training throughout their apprenticeship and are required to be OSHA 10 trained prior to being onsite. All employees are required to utilize appropriate PPE as outlined in NFPA 70E. The O’Mahony team, including electricians, foreman, and general foreman are all constantly working to protect our jobsites and all onsite personnel.
